    Great product...customer service is lacking

Posted by Scott on Aug 26th 2022

The product is great. I placed an order a few weeks back for two bags of pigment. I have used it in the past and had great result. My purchase was shipped to the incorrect address. Spoke with someone who was supposed to send replacement pigments and they never came. I enjoy the product so I ordered another bag hoping that the additional two that I paid for would come as well...that didn't happen. Hopefully I will receive the additional pigments or a refund.

    Best dye on the market

Posted by Tim Loeffler on Feb 22nd 2022

I would highly recommend this dye, as well as Shed Life's catalog of stabilizing resins, for anyone looking get into wood stabilizing. Ken (the Owner) is an absolute well of knowledge and will gladly answer any questions you may have. I've got just about every single color of his dye, and every piece comes out vibrant or deep, depending on how you mix your colors. I don't mix in full gallon quantities, but I've found that 2 teaspoons of dye per quart of resin is perfect for just about every color. Some colors needs a bit more, some need a bit less. Also, this stuff will work very well as a standard wood dye. It's alcohol soluble so it can be used in denatured alcohol for a wipe on wood dye. Great stuff, I plan on buying many many more in the future.

Best concentration of color I have had

Kenneth sent me some blue dye to try out. I used the recommended amount and this stuff is legit!!! The best color and saturation in stabilizing my woods. I just placed an order for more dyes to use. These will be my go to dyes for resin stabilizing for sure!!!
